The vineyards we choose to work with are hand farmed by small growers also dedicated to producing a high quality product. Our passion is to bring joy into our lives and others through our offering of fine wines.

The craze of the the last harvest is well behind us, and the upcoming harvest is already teasing our brains, but things are running on track here at Trahan Winery. Early May found us busy once again, as we put to bottle our 2005 red varietals and 2006 Chardonnay. We look forward to another bottling in late summer…this for our 2006 Pinot Noir. We are truly excited to share this special wine with you! With fruit coming from the famous Carneros region of Napa Valley, and a very limited production (remember the 2003 Merlot?!), we anticipate bringing you another incredible and popular wine!
Having been in the barrel for well over a year, the 2005 reds were ready for their transition into the bottle. As we have mentioned in previous letters, 2005 was a special year in the Napa Valley. With unusual (and at times unpredictable!) weather patterns, it was anybody’s guess what might be the fate of the year’s grape crop. Well, what a fate it was! The 2005 harvest produced exceptionally high yields of equally exceptional fruit. So, as you might guess, our production was up a bit from 2004…and we are prouder than ever of our wines!
Thirsty yet?! For you lucky (and smart!) ones – you’ve already put in your futures order and are just eagerly awaiting their release, which we anticipate to be in early November (they are resting after the bottling…and waiting for the heat of summer to pass!).
