Description
The masterfully crafted 2012 Reserve Cabernet is a study in the art of winemaking. At the heart of the wine, Beckstoffer Georges III Rutherford fruit delivers succulent blackberry bramble and baking spice with a powerful but soft velvety tannin. New to the mix and to the Trahan vineyard arsenal is some Pope Valley Cabernet Sauvignon bringing hints of spiced cherries and cocoa powder with trademark clean acidity. Rounding out the blend is our beloved Suisun Petite Verdot with it’s plum and earthiness and full bodied splendor. Elevage was 22 months in French oak barrels for a less aggressive wine highlighting the complexity and elegance of this exceptional blend.
