Located in the heart of the Napa Valley, Trahan Winery is a small, family winery dedicated to creating incredible wines from only the highest quality grapes. The vineyards we choose to work with are hand farmed by growers dedicated in their own right to producing exceptional fruit. Our passion is to bring joy into our lives and others through our offering of fine wines.

The Founder - The Winemaker
Chuck Custodio
A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where the motto is “Learn by Doing,” Chuck embraced that philosophy and left the corporate world in the early 2000s to immerse himself in the wine industry, learning firsthand from some of Napa’s best winemakers.
At the time, friends thought he was crazy but also admired him for following his true passion. Before starting Trahan, Chuck gained experience at some of Napa’s finest boutique wineries, including Vincent Arroyo, Storybook Mountain, and Pena.
Inspired by his family’s deep-rooted history in farming and winemaking—his father’s family were dedicated migrant farmworkers, while his mother’s side, the Trahans, proudly nurtured grapes and crafted wines in France centuries ago—Chuck pours his heart into creating extraordinary wines for wine enthusiasts and his many valued Trahan Wine Club members. His next harvest will be his 23rd. Time flies when you love what you do!
The Super Helper
Jake
Jake was born into the wine world and has been Chuck's inspiration from day one. He has learned so much about running a winery and vineyard practices. From a very young age, Jake could sample a vineyard on his own during harvest time, even using a refractometer to measure the sugar content (brix).
The Face of Reason
Pagani
Pagani is Jake's puppy and the newest winery dog at Trahan Winery. She's following in some very big footsteps that we're sure she can fill. She is preceded by our original winery dog, Sadie (the namesake for Sadie's Red Wine), and Gracie Rose, both rescues who were beloved by everyone they met. Pagani is a Bernadoodle and loves to race and play around the vineyards. She's looking forward to her first harvest in 2025.
